Dinner with the Young Activists Summit laureates
Hôtel Beau-Rivage
Small actions make a big difference
The Young Activists Summit was held last Thursday at the UN and rewarded 5 young people who fight against forced marriage, work to protect the environment and facilitate access to education in armed conflicts zones. At the dinner organized in their honor by the Fondation pour Genève, the laureates had the opportunity to speak in front of numerous personalities, demonstrating remarkable eloquence and a firm determination to bring about positive change through their concrete actions, even on a small scale.
Laureate Maïmouna Ba underlined the significant impact of small actions, comparing them to drops of water and grains of sand that together shape majestic landscapes. From the Sahel region, she works for women’s autonomy and the education of children displaced by armed conflict. Her speech reminds us that every effort, no matter how small, contributes to shaping a better future.
