June edition of the parliamentary newsletter

June - 2026

Geneva, the capital of peace, now and forever

Autonomous weapons, algorithm-controlled drones, robots on the battlefield: AI is revolutionising the rules of war. But Geneva, with its expertise in humanitarian law and global governance, is ideally placed to spearhead the regulation of these technologies.

This role is highlighted by Laurent Wehrli, National Councillor, in the latest edition of the newsletter distributed by the Fondation pour Genève to federal parliamentarians. This edition also features an interview with Daren Tang, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organisation, who highlights the dynamism of Swiss innovation and the challenges facing intellectual property in the age of AI.
