Digital technology and the war in Ukraine – Cyberpeace after February 2022″

Microsoft’s recent report “Defending Ukraine: Early Lessons from the Cyber War” shows that cyber attacks have become an integral part of armed conflict. The use of information as a weapon in the war in Ukraine has repercussions for the actors of international Geneva and challenges the principles and norms of the international system. Is cyber peace still possible? How can governments, the private sector and civil society work together to preserve cyber peace? To discuss these questions, IHEID will host Brad Smith, President of Microsoft, for a public lecture at the Maison de la Paix on “Digital technology and the war in Ukraine – Cyberpeace after February 2022”.
