Support activities

The Fondation actively supports the development of private initiatives that are in line with Geneva’s traditions of hospitality and openness to the world:

The Fondation pour Genève hosts:

  • Since 2013, the Fondation Eduki: a small body chaired by Madame Martine Brunschwig Graf and directed by Mr Didier Dutoit, that forms the link between teachers and school classes interested in a better understanding of global challenges and issues, while benefiting from International Geneva.
  • Since 2008, the Diplomatic Club of Geneva, chaired by Swiss Ambassador Luzius Wasescha: this brings together all the government actors, academics and private individuals of International Geneva in order to facilitate exchanges between sectors and organisations.
  • Since 1999, the International Circle of Geneva, chaired by Madame Florence Notter: this is open to women, whether or not active professionally, from the diplomatic, academic and private sectors. Run by about sixty Geneva volunteers from the Fondation pour Genève, the International Circle provides foreigners with a personalised welcome and numerous daytime and evening activities.

In addition, since 1999 the Fondation has supported the Geneva Welcome Centre (CAGI). A group of volunteers, chaired by Madame Diane Zoelly, contributes in particular to running a daily programme of activities offered by the CAGI to newcomers.
